Fat Camp ’13 – Day 3

East side perimeter was in order. Chilly a.m. and no real agenda so of course we ended up with a late start. Late start and a city/perimeter ride meant traffic from the start. Slightly rough roads and not a lot of help from anyone else so we put our heads down and trudged through.
Route took us through Saguaro East where we ran into a tour group of generally retirees. One couple from Lake McBride/Solon so we had a few minutes of back-home catch-up time. They gave a mixed report on the week–believe Bisbee and maybe Sahuarita and Tubac/Green Valley tours were destinations for the week. The Mrs. was clear with her opinion of the chilly, windy days early in the week so they were double happy for these last couple of really nice days.
Done with Cactus loop at Saguaro and headed north up to Sabino. Perfect ride up, quick stop then west on Sunrise to catch the sunset. Missed our turn south so we added a few extra before landing back at the car. Top notch eastside perimeter loop; good way to end the workweek!
