Dawn to Dusk

Everyone looks forward to the weekend—even the unemployed! My Friday started out on a great note—a bit humid but cloudy which means I won’t be blinded watering the plants as the sun creeps up over Rincon’s to the east. It also means we have a decent shot at rain for the day. Couple the clouds with my pre-dawn effort at watering meant it’s sure to rain at some point!

Even under cloud cover I’m still amazed at how much color the desert produces. We’ve had enough rain (plus I’ve been feeding/watering) the last couple of weeks our plants are in full bloom providing a stark contrast to the browns and most people associate with the desert.

A good morning gave way to a pretty good Friday and was topped off by a moon-lit trail-run. A great way to start the weekend.
