FoTo FriDay

Thanks to the savvy marketing campaign and monopolistic-type business practices originating with the De Beers diamond company of a century ago the popularity and perceived need for buying the biggest and best engagement/wedding diamonds has steadily grown. In fact; the phrase ‘A Diamond is Forever’ was coined and even named the best marketing slogan of the 20th Century.  Until learning a bit more about the industry I bought into it; even possessing three microscopic diamonds in one of my own rings.
We had so much fun researching and browsing for our current jewelry that I was sad to see it end. And actually it might not. We were such great value shoppers that I landed with two rings already and am considering adding another. Ames has a killer piece that effectively combines sentiment, value, –wow–, and truly deep meaning. In fact, so much that we’re looking at a daily-wear band that’s a bit less of all that. Heading back to Phoenix next week to finalize both.
For now I get to show off my two that were picked up at a ridiculously great value—titanium and carbon being preferred substances. As much for the cool factor as the strength and lightweight feel. Yea me!
