SpringBreakTrip Final Hurrah

(April 3/4)

The weekend was topped off by Piper making yet another trip down to capitalize on the perfect conditions to hit the roads, trails and Y for Fat Camp, Spring ’11.  On the agenda was a trip to the 4 Avenue Spring Street Fair where you can find anything for a price. We opted for mostly cheap or free which landed us a front row spot at the balloon pirate:
Name it this guy would build it….. your typical street performer.

Now the next guy impressed me. He was juggling multiple items while on a unicycle. And of course he came with a cute gal-pal partner. And a cutie she was. They were (allegedly) both teachers (married) performing on the side and this day they were there on behalf of Ben’s  Bells. We’ve donated to Ben’s Bells a few times; even have one of their string of bells on our patio.  Teachers or not they were performing for a good cause and we continued to do our part.  In fact Ames’ work dropped off a donation there a few months ago and after that they were given an award of the month/quarter or something like that for being good stewards of the program. Check it out–Ben’s  Bells– a good cause.
A several block area full of hipster’s delights; definitely a good time glad we fit it into our schedule. I think Piper, our guest, also felt mildly entertained  by the blocks-long event.
